İYİ Party won only Nevşehir across Turkey in the March 31 Local Elections, while its electoral support fell from 7.2 percent to 3.77 percent.

Thus, the votes of the İYİ Party have dropped by 90 percent.

Speaking for the first time after the results, İYİ Party leader Meral Akşener said the following:

I thank our school and ballot box officials. I wish for the results to be auspicious.

Since the first day, with our understanding of 'nation first, country first,' we have always seen the voter as our benefactor.

In these elections, our nation entrusted 31 places to the İYİ Party, including 1 province, 23 districts, and 7 towns. I thank our noble nation first and foremost for this trust.

My noble nation, with the elections we have left behind, we have once again seen that our nation is squeezed between two fists. Our nation showed its reaction to the accustomed areas of polarization and artificial agendas that were not on its own agenda by not going to the ballot box.

Our retirees showed it by not going to the ballot box, our teachers showed it by not going to the ballot box. Women showed in these elections that they are not forced to have empty pots by not going to the ballot box.

Our nation said 'enough' to the government. It said 'enough' to those who have been eating rights and causing injustice for years.

In short, our nation has been telling Erdoğan for years, 'You are now forced to!' However, we had warned him many times.

We had said, 'Do not violate the rights of the nation.' We had reminded him of the words of the late Demirel and said that 'the pot shakes every government.'

I hope that he now understands that the voice of the nation is behind our calls.

I hope that Erdoğan has learned the necessary lesson.

As the İYİ Party, we will also take our share of the responsibility. We will conduct our self-criticism. We will take the necessary steps in line with the message our nation has given us and the direction it has set.
