AKOM issues warning for Istanbul with specific dates! Temperatures to drop to 3 degrees
A significant drop in temperatures is expected in Istanbul starting next week; thermometers are forecast to fall as low as 6 degrees.
The impact of cold weather will become more pronounced in Istanbul in the new week. According to the latest weather reports released by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Disaster Coordination Center (AKOM), air temperatures, which are currently above 10 degrees, are expected to decrease significantly in the coming days.
Until the weekend, thermometers in the city will show 12 degrees at midday, and sunny weather will continue to prevail. However, a sharp drop in temperature values will be observed starting from the weekend. It is estimated that temperatures will fall to 6 degrees during the day and may drop as low as 3 degrees in the evening hours.
While no precipitation is expected in Istanbul throughout the coming week, the effects of the winter season will be felt once again with this drop in temperature. Authorities advise citizens to be prepared for temperature changes and to take the necessary precautions.
