AKOM warns: Downpours are on the way in Istanbul

Sunny and partly cloudy weather will continue to prevail in Istanbul starting from the beginning of the week. Authorities announced that no significant precipitation is expected across the city until Wednesday, but weather conditions will change towards the weekend.

In the weekly weather report published by experts, it was stated that daytime temperatures in the city will hover between 10 and 14 degrees. The statement noted that especially in the early morning and night hours, thermometers will drop to 6 degrees, increasing the impact of the cold weather. The statement said, "It is estimated that temperatures, which hover between 10-14 degrees during the day, will continue to cause a chill as they drop to winter levels of around 6 degrees or lower, especially at night and in the early morning hours."

It was reported that the sky will be partly cloudy from time to time during the first days of the week, and that Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday will pass without precipitation.

A rain warning has been issued for Thursday and Friday. Downpours are expected to be effective on these two days. As for the weekend, it is estimated that there will be very cloudy weather on Saturday and local precipitation may be seen in some regions.
