Certain areas removed from forest boundaries with Erdoğan's signature
With the signature of President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, certain areas in Amasya, Balıkesir, Kastamonu, Manisa, Muğla, Samsun, Sinop, and Sivas have been removed from forest boundaries.
With the signature of AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan, certain forested areas in 8 provinces have been removed from forest boundaries.
The decision published in the Official Gazette is as follows:
"ARTICLE 1- (1) It has been decided to remove the areas located in the provinces of Amasya, Balıkesir, Kastamonu, Manisa, Muğla, Samsun, Sinop, and Sivas, whose boundaries and coordinates are shown in the attached sketches and lists, from forest boundaries.
(2) An allocation shall be made by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change (General Directorate of National Property) to the General Directorate of Forestry for the purpose of establishing forests from immovable properties under the rule and disposal of the State or in the private ownership of the Treasury, in an amount not less than twice the area of the lands removed from forest boundaries within the scope of the first paragraph."
