Date set: Temperatures to rise across the country

Temperatures are expected to rise above seasonal norms toward the weekend, particularly in the interior and western regions. Throughout the week, precipitation is expected to be seen only along the coasts of the Central and Eastern Black Sea.

Date set: Temperatures to rise across the country

Temperatures, which have been hovering below seasonal norms across the country, will increase by 3 to 5 degrees starting tomorrow.

Mehmet Özdemirci, a weather forecasting expert at the General Directorate of Meteorology of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, made assessments regarding the weather forecast for the week.

Stating that intermittent showers are being observed in the northern and eastern parts of the country today, Demirci reported that rainfall will be locally heavy in the vicinities of Kocaeli, Sakarya, Bolu, Düzce, Bartın, Zonguldak, Trabzon, Sinop, and Rize.

Conveying that precipitation will decrease across the country starting tomorrow, Demirci said that throughout the week, rainfall will only be seen intermittently along the coasts of the Central and Eastern Black Sea.

Demirci stated, "Temperatures, which are below seasonal norms in the interior and eastern parts of our country, will increase by 3 to 5 degrees starting tomorrow and will hover around seasonal norms. Toward the weekend, temperatures will rise again, especially in the interior and western parts, and will exceed seasonal norms."

WEATHER IN THE 3 MAJOR CITIES

Demirci stated that there is no expectation of precipitation in Istanbul, Ankara, and İzmir for the next 3 days.

Explaining that hazy and partly cloudy weather will prevail in Istanbul during the morning hours for 3 days, Demirci noted that temperatures are expected to be around 27-28 degrees.

Expressing that partly cloudy weather will be effective in Ankara for 3 days as well, Demirci said that temperatures will be around 23-27 degrees.

Demirci noted that slightly cloudy weather will be seen in İzmir for 3 days, and temperatures will be around 28-29 degrees.
