İSKİ announces: Dam levels in Istanbul are on the rise

The rainfall that has been effective in recent weeks has provided some relief, however partial, to the levels of the dams that supply drinking water to Istanbul. According to data shared by the Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (İSKİ), the average occupancy rate, which had fallen below 20 percent in November and December, has risen to 30.25 percent.

While the average water amount in the dams was measured at 22.01 percent on January 12, current data reveals that this rate has increased by approximately 8 points.

The highest occupancy across the city was recorded at the Elmalı Dam at 84.93 percent. The lowest level was measured at the Kazandere Dam at 7.13 percent.

As of February 2, the occupancy rates of dams in Istanbul are as follows:

Elmalı – 84.93%

Istrancalar – 56.78%

Darlık – 49.19%

Ömerli – 44.28%

Alibey – 24.63%

Büyükçekmece – 21.16%

Terkos – 18.24%

Sazlıdere – 17.78%

Pabuçdere – 9.23%

Kazandere – 7.13%
