Dust transport and heavy downpour warning from Meteorology! Yellow alert issued for 13 cities

According to the latest assessments made by the General Directorate of Meteorology (MGM): It is estimated that the country will be generally very cloudy, with intermittent precipitation expected in most areas, excluding the coasts of Bartın and Kastamonu, as well as Gaziantep, Kilis, Adıyaman, Ş.Urfa, and Mardin. Precipitation is expected to be generally in the form of rain and downpours, with occasional thunderstorms, and a mix of sleet and snow in the higher elevations of the eastern part of Eastern Anatolia. Precipitation is expected to be locally heavy on the Aegean coast. There is a danger of avalanches and snowmelt in sloping areas with high snow cover in the inner parts of the Eastern Black Sea and Eastern Anatolia. Dust transport is expected in the Eastern Mediterranean and Southeastern Anatolia.

Air temperatures are expected to remain around seasonal norms across the country.

The wind is expected to blow from southerly directions, light to occasionally moderate, and strong (40-60 km/h) in the Coastal Aegean and Eastern Mediterranean.
