Meteorology issues sleet warning for numerous cities

According to the assessments made by the General Directorate of Meteorology: The northern, inner, and eastern parts of our country are expected to be partly to very cloudy, with rain in the coastal areas of the Central and Eastern Black Sea, and sleet and snow in the inner parts of the Eastern Black Sea, the northeast of Eastern Anatolia, and the surroundings of Amasya, Tokat, Kayseri, Nevşehir, Sivas, and Erzincan; other areas are expected to be partly cloudy and clear. Icing and frost, along with fog and mist, are expected in Marmara and the inner and eastern regions during morning and night hours. There is a danger of avalanches and snowmelt in the high-altitude inner parts of the Eastern Black Sea and the sloping areas of Eastern Anatolia with high snow cover.

Air temperatures are expected to rise by 1 to 3 degrees in the western parts, with no significant changes elsewhere.

The wind is generally expected to blow from northern directions, light to occasionally moderate.
