Yellow alert from Meteorology for 21 provinces: Air temperatures to drop, thunderstorms are coming

According to the latest assessments by the General Directorate of Meteorology: The country is expected to be mostly cloudy, with intermittent showers and thunderstorms. Precipitation is expected to be locally heavy in the eastern Marmara, inner Aegean, inland parts of the Western Mediterranean, northern and western Central Anatolia, the Western Black Sea (except Sinop), inland parts of the Central and Eastern Black Sea, Eastern Anatolia (except Elazığ), as well as the surroundings of Hatay, Osmaniye, Kayseri, and Balıkesir.

Air temperatures are expected to decrease by 2 to 4 degrees in the inland parts of the Eastern Black Sea and the southeast of Eastern Anatolia, with no significant changes expected elsewhere.

Winds are expected to blow from the north and northwest in the northern and western parts, and from the south in the southern and eastern parts, at light to occasionally moderate strength.

HEAVY RAIN WARNING: Since precipitation is expected to be locally heavy in the eastern Marmara, inner Aegean, inland parts of the Western Mediterranean, northern and western Central Anatolia, the Western Black Sea (except Sinop), inland parts of the Central and Eastern Black Sea, Eastern Anatolia (except Elazığ), as well as the surroundings of Hatay, Osmaniye, Kayseri, and Balıkesir, it is necessary to be cautious and take precautions against potential negative impacts.
