Yellow alert from Meteorology for 12 cities: Heavy rain is coming, risk of floods and storms

According to the latest assessments made by the General Directorate of Meteorology: It is estimated that the country will be partly to very cloudy, with intermittent rain and showers in the north and east of the Eastern Mediterranean, Eastern Black Sea, Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia, and the surroundings of Ordu; showers and thunderstorms in the Eastern Mediterranean and Southeastern Anatolia; and sleet and snow in the higher parts of the inner Eastern Black Sea and the northeastern parts of Eastern Anatolia. Precipitation is expected to be locally heavy in the southeast of Eastern Anatolia, the south and east of Southeastern Anatolia, and the surroundings of Elazığ, Tunceli, Bingöl, Hatay, Osmaniye, Kilis, and Adıyaman. Haze and occasional fog are expected in the east of Marmara and the Western Black Sea during the morning and night hours. There is a danger of avalanches and snowmelt in sloping areas with high snow cover in the inner parts of the Eastern Black Sea and Eastern Anatolia.

Air temperatures are expected to increase in the inner and western parts, remaining above seasonal norms, and to remain around seasonal norms in other places.

The wind is expected to blow from the north and northeast in the western parts and from southerly directions in the eastern parts, light to occasionally moderate.
