According to information received from AFAD, a magnitude 4.0 earthquake was recorded last night with its epicenter in the Sincik district of Adıyaman. The earthquake occurred at a depth of 7 kilometers.

In his statement, Prof. Dr. Naci Görür said, "An earthquake occurred in Taşdamlar-Çelikhan/Adıyaman. The earthquake is on the East Anatolian Fault and very close to the Bitlis-Zagros Thrust zone. With this characteristic, it can be considered an aftershock. Best regards."
