Severe downpour warning from the Meteorological Service

According to the latest assessments made by the General Directorate of Meteorology: The northern, interior, and western parts of the country are expected to be partly cloudy, with intermittent downpours in the vicinity of Sinop, Rize, and Artvin, as well as the western districts of Samsun and the eastern parts of Trabzon. Sleet is expected in the vicinity of Ardahan, with snow at higher altitudes, while other areas are expected to be mostly clear and sunny. Light dust transport is expected in the Marmara and Aegean regions. There is a risk of avalanches, snowmelt, and landslides in the interior of the Eastern Black Sea region and the northern and eastern parts of Eastern Anatolia.

AIR TEMPERATURE: It is estimated that temperatures will decrease by 2 to 4 degrees in the western and northern parts, with no significant changes expected elsewhere.

WIND: The wind is expected to blow from the south and east, shifting to northerly directions in the northern and interior parts of the country over time, generally light to occasionally moderate.

DUST TRANSPORT WARNING: As light dust transport is expected in the Marmara and Aegean regions, caution and vigilance are advised against potential adverse conditions.

AVALANCHE DANGER WARNING: Caution and vigilance are advised due to the risk of avalanches on slopes with high snow cover, as well as risks of snowmelt and landslides in the interior of the Eastern Black Sea region and the northern and eastern parts of Eastern Anatolia.
