Snow warning for Istanbul from AKOM

The cold wave arriving from the Balkans has made winter conditions felt once again, and the snowfall has reached as far as Istanbul. The snowfall, which was effective in Edirne, Tekirdağ, and Kırklareli yesterday evening, has also caused harsh and cold weather in Istanbul.

WARNING FROM AKOM: SNOW IS AT THE DOOR

Sharing long-term weather forecasts on its social media accounts, AKOM issued a snowfall warning for Istanbul. The statement reported that the Balkan cold will also be effective in Istanbul, temperatures will drop by up to 10 degrees, and snowfall will be seen following intermittent thunderstorms.

A significant drop in temperatures is expected as of tomorrow. The rainy weather, which will begin with light rain on Thursday, will turn into sleet on Friday and intermittent showers on Saturday. Today, the highest temperature will be 11 degrees, and it will drop to 5 degrees at night. Tomorrow, temperatures are expected to reach a high of 9 and a low of 3 degrees. On Thursday, the high will be 11 and the low 4; on Friday, the high will be 6 and the low 2 degrees. On Saturday, temperatures will reach 8 degrees. It is expected to rise to 11 degrees on Sunday and 13 degrees on Monday.

Temperatures are projected to return to seasonal norms next week.
