The extreme heat wave affecting Diyarbakır has led city residents to look for ways to cool off. According to data from the 15th Regional Directorate of Meteorology, the air temperature in the city reached 42 degrees today, and this situation is expected to continue tomorrow.
Citizens wanting to protect themselves from the hot weather preferred to spend time in air-conditioned areas, while children tried to cool off in the ornamental pools at Anzele Park in the Sur district. Tree shade in parks and gardens also became a frequent destination for those looking to cool down. Due to this extreme heat, streets and avenues remained largely empty.
