Weather forecast statement for Istanbul from AKOM: 'Until June 28...'
The Disaster Coordination Center (AKOM) has announced that partly cloudy and clear weather will prevail in Istanbul throughout the coming week, with temperatures expected to range between 28-31°C.
Following the sweltering hot weather, temperatures in Istanbul dropped suddenly by 8-10°C. Heavy rainfall was effective in the city yesterday evening.
In a statement made this morning by AKOM, which is affiliated with the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB), it was noted that the day began with temperatures hovering around 21°C under a partly cloudy and clear sky. The statement said, "While similar weather conditions are expected to be effective throughout the day, temperatures are estimated to hover around 27°C during the noon hours. It is estimated that a partly cloudy and clear sky will prevail throughout the coming week and temperatures will range between 28-31°C. In Istanbul, temperatures are expected to hover around seasonal norms to 2-5°C above them until June 28."
