According to the forecasts made by the General Directorate of Meteorology: The country is expected to be partly to very cloudy, with rain and showers expected in the eastern Black Sea coast, the surroundings of Şanlıurfa and Mardin, and the interior parts of western Antalya, while sleet and snow are expected in the surroundings of Rize, Artvin, Kars, Ardahan, and Van.

Fog and mist are expected in the interior and eastern parts during the morning and night hours, along with icing and frost. There is a risk of avalanches on the high slopes of the interior eastern Black Sea region and on the high and steep slopes of Eastern Anatolia.

Air temperatures are expected to hover around seasonal norms in the interior and western regions, and remain below seasonal norms in the eastern parts.

WARNING FOR AVALANCHE RISK, ICING, AND FROST

Due to the snowfall that has occurred in recent days, a high snow cover has formed in the eastern Black Sea and Eastern Anatolia regions. It is assessed that the risk of avalanches is high, especially in the high, mountainous, and steep-sloped areas of the region. Concerned parties and our citizens must be careful and take precautions against negative conditions such as avalanche danger, landslides, and disruptions in transportation.
