A large part of the country continues to struggle with scorching heat. While there is curiosity about when the temperatures, which reach 40 degrees in some places, will end, the answer has come from the meteorology office. The scorching heat will drop below seasonal norms starting from June 28, 2024, and leave the country. 

METEOROLOGICAL OUTLOOK

According to the latest forecasts made by the General Directorate of Meteorology: It is estimated that the northeastern parts of our country will be partly to occasionally very cloudy, with local showers and thunderstorms expected in the coastal areas of the Eastern Black Sea and the surroundings of Ordu, while other places will be clear and sunny.

AIR TEMPERATURE: It is estimated that temperatures will increase by 2 to 4 degrees in the Black Sea region, with no significant changes expected elsewhere.

WIND: It is expected to blow generally from the north, and from the south on the Mediterranean coast tomorrow (Thursday) at noon, light to occasionally moderate, and strong (30-60 km/h) from the north in Marmara, the west of Eastern Anatolia, and the east of Southeastern Anatolia.

WARNINGS

STRONG WIND WARNING: Since the wind is expected to blow strongly (30-60 km/h) from the north in Marmara, the west of Eastern Anatolia, and the east of Southeastern Anatolia, one should be careful and cautious against potential negative consequences.
