Yellow alert for 12 cities from the Meteorological Service: Thunderstorms expected!
The General Directorate of Meteorology has released today's weather report. A yellow alert has been issued for 12 cities.
The General Directorate of Meteorology (MGM) reports that, according to the latest assessments, the country is expected to be partly to very cloudy, with intermittent showers and occasional thunderstorms in the Mediterranean, the eastern part of Central Anatolia, Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia, as well as the surroundings of Muğla, Kütahya, Afyonkarahisar, Denizli, Eskişehir, western Konya, Tokat, and Karaman.
The precipitation is expected to be locally heavy in the Eastern Mediterranean, the surroundings of Malatya, Bingöl, Muş, and Bitlis, and the southern and eastern districts of Kayseri. Patchy fog and mist are expected in the southern and eastern parts of Marmara, the inner Aegean, and the inland parts of the Black Sea region tonight and tomorrow morning.
The cities under a yellow alert are as follows:
Adana, Adıyaman, Elazığ, Antep, Hatay, Mersin, Kayseri, Malatya, Maraş, Urfa, Kilis, and Osmaniye.
