Yellow alert for 19 provinces from Meteorology: Heavy downpours and storms are coming

The General Directorate of Meteorology has issued a yellow alert for 19 provinces for Thursday. Following the afternoon hours, locally heavy downpours and thunderstorms are expected, particularly in Afyonkarahisar, Denizli, Kütahya, and Uşak in the Inner Aegean, as well as the inland parts of the Western Mediterranean, the west of Central Anatolia, and the inland regions of the Western Black Sea. Strong winds will also be effective in the south and west of Marmara and along the Aegean coast.

Yellow alert for 19 provinces from Meteorology: Heavy downpours and storms are coming

According to the latest assessments made by the General Directorate of Meteorology: The northern, inner, and eastern parts of our country are expected to be partly to, at times, very cloudy, with local downpours and thunderstorms expected in the inner parts of the Aegean, the east and inner parts of the Western Black Sea, the west of Central Anatolia, the inner parts of the Western Mediterranean, the inner parts of the Eastern Black Sea, and the northeast of Eastern Anatolia, while other areas are expected to be slightly cloudy and clear. Patchy fog is expected in the coastal parts of the Western and Central Black Sea during the night and morning hours.

No significant change is expected in air temperatures.

The wind is expected to blow lightly, occasionally at moderate strength, generally from northerly directions in the north and from southerly directions in the southern parts of the country, and is expected to blow strongly (40-60 km/h) from northerly directions tomorrow (Thursday) in the south and west of Marmara, the Aegean coast, and Central Anatolia.
