Yellow alert issued for 26 cities: Heavy rain and snow warning from Meteorology!

According to the latest assessments made by the General Directorate of Meteorology: It is estimated that the country will be generally partly to very cloudy, with intermittent precipitation expected in all areas except the west of Marmara, the Aegean coasts, and Antalya. The precipitation is expected to be generally in the form of rain and showers, locally thunderstorms, and sleet and locally snow in the high altitudes of the Inner Aegean, the high altitudes of Central Anatolia, and the high altitudes of the interior parts of the Western Black Sea. The precipitation is expected to be heavy in the east of Marmara, the Eastern Mediterranean, the Western Black Sea (except Sinop and Kastamonu), as well as Eskişehir, the western districts of Ankara, Aksaray, Nevşehir, Niğde, Adıyaman, Gaziantep, and Kilis, and very heavy and severe in the surroundings of Sakarya, Düzce, Bolu, Zonguldak, and Bartın.

Air temperatures are expected to increase in the Coastal Aegean and Marmara (2-4 degrees), decrease in the interior parts (2-4 degrees), and remain largely unchanged in the eastern parts of the country.

The wind is expected to blow from northerly directions in the western parts of the country and from southerly directions in the eastern parts at moderate strength, and is expected to blow strongly (40-60 km/h) from northerly directions in Marmara, the Aegean, and the west of the Western Black Sea, and from southerly directions in Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia, the Eastern Mediterranean, the east of Central Anatolia, and the interior parts of the Eastern Black Sea.

It is estimated to be partly to very cloudy, with rain and showers in the east of the region. The precipitation is expected to be heavy in the eastern parts, and locally very heavy and severe in the surroundings of Sakarya. The wind is expected to blow strongly (40-60 km/h) from northerly directions along the coasts.
