11 arrested in murder case following verbal altercation: Quickly escalated into armed fight

The incident occurred on the road to the Vali Recep Yazıcıoğlu Dam Reservoir in the Aktepe neighborhood of Pamukkale district. According to information obtained, two groups, who had developed a feud due to verbal abuse, met on the dam road to talk.

One of the parties arrived at the scene in a car with license plate 20 DB 702, while the other group arrived in a vehicle whose license plate has not yet been identified.

The argument between the two groups quickly escalated into an armed brawl. Bilal Erten, who was hit by bullets fired in rapid succession during the fight, lost his life at the scene, while three others, one of whom was in critical condition, were injured. Mazlum K., who was critically injured, and the other wounded individuals were taken to the hospital by medical teams.

Murder Bureau deepens investigation

Following the incident, teams from the Denizli Police Department's Public Security Branch Murder Bureau launched a comprehensive investigation. After the initial detention of 5 people, homicide detectives deepened the investigation and apprehended the other suspects identified as being involved in the incident one by one.

Within the scope of the operations, a total of 13 suspects were detained, including Oktay Ö., Yusuf G., Ali A., Yunus G., Beytullah T., Emirhan B., Hakan K., and Emirhan B., as well as R.K., B.Ü., O.G., K.M., and B.Ç., who are classified as children driven to crime.

11 of 13 suspects arrested

The 13 suspects, whose procedures at the Murder Bureau were completed and who were referred to the courthouse under extensive security measures, were brought before the court following prosecution proceedings. 11 of the suspects who appeared before the judge were arrested and sent to prison. Yunus G. and B.Ç., who is classified as a child driven to crime, were released.
