Bahçeli was expected to be present at the commemoration program organized by the MHP Ankara Provincial Presidency. However, the MHP leader drew attention by not attending the ceremony with the delegation. Party officials entered the mausoleum of Türkeş hours later. Bahçeli also arrived at the cemetery shortly after. Large crowds were present to welcome Bahçeli.

Devlet Bahçeli was taken under treatment at the hospital on February 4, 2025, and underwent a heart valve operation. After signs of degeneration were found in his heart valve, his existing valve was replaced.

In a statement made by the MHP, it was stated, "Our Chairman is resting in his room. He will return to his daily life in a short time." However, Bahçeli had not taken part in any events since that day.
