15 vehicles worth approximately 100 million burned in fire at car rental company

The fire occurred around 04:30 in a car parked at a car dealership located on the ground floor of a 4-story building on Barbaros Boulevard in the Balmumcu neighborhood of Beşiktaş.

The fire that started in the car spread to 14 other parked vehicles and grew in intensity.

Upon notification, numerous fire, medical, and police teams were dispatched to the scene. While police teams closed the street to traffic and took security measures, fire crews began extinguishing efforts.

The flames were brought under control as a result of approximately 1 hour of work by the teams and were completely extinguished following cooling efforts.

15 cars were heavily damaged in the fire.

Additionally, fire crews performed cooling work on the building where the car dealership is located.

On the other hand, crime scene investigation teams were also dispatched to the fire area.

Arson suspected

Following the teams' work, it was stated that the cause of the fire is being investigated as a suspected case of arson. Approximately 100 million liras in damage occurred in the fire, in which 15 vehicles were engulfed in flames and the exterior of the 4-story building was partially burned.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the fire and the suspicion of arson.
