2 young women injured in collision between two motorcycles
The drivers of two motorcycles were injured in a traffic accident that occurred in Edirne.
According to the information obtained, two motorcycles collided on Atatürk Boulevard during peak traffic hours.
As both drivers were thrown onto the road, citizens who witnessed the accident reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center.
The first intervention for the two injured young women was performed by healthcare workers from a private hospital who rushed to the scene.
While the injured were taken to the hospital by an ambulance that arrived at the scene shortly after, police teams took security measures in the area.
It was learned that the health condition of one of the injured, who was taken under treatment, is critical. Citizens stated that drivers should be more careful, especially due to the density around the hospital.
Traffic was provided in a controlled manner for a while at the point where the accident occurred. While short-term traffic congestion occurred on Atatürk Boulevard following the accident, an investigation into the incident has been initiated.
