CALIFORNIA GOVERNOR MADE A STATEMENT
California Governor Gavin Newsom stated that the strong winds effective in the region caused the fire to spread rapidly, saying, "We are not out of danger yet. We are already seeing the devastating effects of this fire, which started in Pacific Palisades and grew rapidly in a short time."
WIND INTENSITY WILL INCREASE FURTHER
Los Angeles Fire Department Chief Anthony Marrone stated that meteorologists predict the wind intensity will increase even further, and declared, "The danger continues." It was reported that firefighting efforts are ongoing.
