93 new vehicles allocated to police and gendarmerie in Sakarya

Sakarya Governor Rahmi Doğan, in his speech at the ceremony held at Democracy Square, said that they would be handing over the 93 vehicles present in the area to be used for police and gendarmerie services.

Stating that 62 of the vehicles were allocated to the police force and 31 to the gendarmerie force, Doğan said, "We express our gratitude primarily to our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and our Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya, as well as to the benefactors who provided these vehicles to us and contributed."

Expressing that this geography is challenging and that they have reached today through various struggles over the past thousand years, Doğan emphasized that they are making great efforts to hand over these lands to future generations forever.

AKP Sakarya Deputy Ali İnci also stated that Sakarya is an important city due to its location, adding, "Sakarya is a place of great importance in terms of security. The vehicles we see right now make us proud. I believe that with our Governor, Metropolitan Mayor, police, and gendarmerie, they will further elevate the peace in this city, which our President calls 'the city where I find peace' and which is a city of security."

Metropolitan Mayor Yusuf Alemdar wished that the vehicles to be delivered would be beneficial to the security forces.

Emphasizing that the strength of the state is the most important reason for the nation to live in health, peace, and security, Alemdar said, "I express my gratitude to our ministers, our Director General of Security, our General Commander of the Gendarmerie, and our Governor, primarily our President, who provided this opportunity. I wish our security forces who will use the vehicles a safe and peaceful duty."

Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Colonel Nejdet Karaca stated that in order to fight crime, there is a need for stronger weapons and vehicles, well-trained, convinced men, and dedicated hearts to be stronger than criminal organizations.

Expressing that more time and personnel savings will be achieved as old, tired service vehicles are replaced by new, more powerful ones, Karaca said, "We will be more deterrent. We have advanced technology, powerful vehicles and weapons, and dedicated and convinced men. We have the desire and courage to fight all kinds of crime and criminals. We have citizens who always support us and pray for us. We have hope that we will succeed."

The ceremony ended with the vehicles being sent off to their duty stations after a prayer was recited.
