A first in the Süper Lig after 22 years

Göztepe and Corendon Alanyaspor faced off in the 26th week of the Trendyol Süper Lig. Referee Asen Albayrak was appointed to this match by the Turkish Football Federation's Central Referee Board.

Albayrak was assisted by Samet Çiçek and Murat Şener. Asen Albayrak became the first female referee to serve as a center referee in the Süper Lig after a 22-year hiatus.

The last time a woman served as a center referee in a match at the top level of Turkey's professional football leagues was Lale Orta on May 8, 2004.

The match played at Gürsel Aksel Stadium ended in a 2-2 draw. Referee Albayrak awarded a penalty in favor of Göztepe in the 4th minute; the position was reviewed by VAR and the penalty kick was taken. Albayrak issued a total of 6 yellow cards during the match, 3 for each team.

This season, Albayrak has officiated 8 matches in the TFF 2nd League, 3 matches each in the Trendyol 1st League and the Ziraat Turkish Cup, and 1 match each in the Süper Lig and the TFF 3rd League.
