Economist Evren Devrim Zelyut, 43, who had been undergoing cancer treatment for some time, has passed away.

Zelyut, who was diagnosed with lung cancer 3 months ago, died last night.

Zelyut's funeral will be held in Istanbul today following the noon prayer.

Zelyut, who last shared a post on his social media account on March 4, had written the following:

"My dear friends! I haven't been able to write to you for a long time, but is it possible to forget you? I am undergoing treatment and experiencing positive developments. I will get back on my feet with your good wishes as well. We will share beautiful things again. You are all in my heart. Goodbye for now..."

Following the death of Evren Devrim Zelyut, a post was shared on his social media account.

WHO IS EVREN DEVRİM ZELYUT?

Evren Devrim Zelyut was born on December 22, 1982, in Istanbul. Zelyut completed his primary and secondary education in Istanbul. In 2004, he graduated from the Department of Economics at Marmara University's Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences.

After graduating, Zelyut began working as an investment specialist at Kent Yatırım Menkul Değerler A.Ş. In 2008, he moved to Prim Menkul Değerler A.Ş., where he served as an investment specialist. In 2013, Zelyut founded his own company, Avrasya Yatırım.
