AI-powered radar on the roads: 526 thousand lira in fines issued in 4 days
The AI-powered radar device "Trafidar," which was deployed on the roads in Düzce at the beginning of June, issued 526 thousand 645 lira in fines in 4 days.
As people began setting off for their hometowns for the Eid al-Adha holiday, traffic inspections in Düzce were intensified.
In this context, teams from the Regional Traffic Inspection Directorate, affiliated with the Düzce Provincial Police Department, placed the AI-powered "Trafidar" device in certain areas of the city.
The device, which was placed on the D-100 highway frequently used by drivers, has been operating since the beginning of June.
Capable of detecting all vehicles that are flagged for security reasons, have outstanding warrants, lack insurance, or lack a valid inspection, the Trafidar device also takes 3 different photos of speeding vehicles before issuing and sending the fine to the vehicle owner.
Over the course of 4 days, the device, which was set up at different points in the city in Düzce, identified 224 vehicles and issued 526 thousand 645 lira in fines to these vehicles.
It was stated that the operations will continue throughout the holiday.
