Ali Yerlikaya: Hundreds of thousands of liters of counterfeit alcohol seized!

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that hundreds of thousands of liters of counterfeit alcohol were seized as part of the 'Çengel-14' and 'Çengel-15' operations conducted nationwide.

Extensive operations regarding the production and sale of counterfeit alcohol were carried out in 81 provinces through the coordinated efforts of Gendarmerie and Police teams.

As a result of the operations, approximately 74 million TL in tax losses were prevented.

'ÇENGEL-14' GENDARMERIE OPERATION:

In the operation carried out under the coordination of the Gendarmerie General Command's Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime (KOM) Department:

77 thousand 495 liters of counterfeit alcohol and ethyl alcohol,
4 thousand 679 counterfeit excise stamps were seized.
9 illegal production facilities were uncovered.
Legal action was taken against 73 suspects.

'ÇENGEL-15' POLICE OPERATION:

In the operation organized under the coordination of the General Directorate of Security's Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime (KOM) Department:

44 thousand 796 liters of ethyl alcohol,
14 thousand 613 liters of counterfeit alcohol,
10 thousand 391 counterfeit excise stamps,
5 thousand 347 alcohol flavorings,
A large number of empty bottles and labels were seized.
12 illegal production facilities were identified.
Legal proceedings were initiated against 206 suspects.
