The countdown for the minimum wage hike has begun. Millions of employees have their eyes turned to the decision that will emerge from the Minimum Wage Determination Commission, which will convene in December.

While the commission is expected to announce its final decision after four meetings, the predictions of labor unions, political parties, and economists have left their mark on the agenda.

High Public Expectations

There are varying expectations among the public. Citizens are expecting a raise of at least 40% due to the year-end inflation target being set at 41.5% in the Medium-Term Program. This rate indicates that the minimum wage could increase significantly.

TÜRK-İŞ: "We Do Not Accept a Low Minimum Wage"

In a statement made by TÜRK-İŞ, it was emphasized that views suggesting inflation should be fought with a low minimum wage are not accepted.

The TÜRK-İŞ Presidential Board stated that the minimum wage to be determined for 2025 should be at a level that allows the worker and their family to live humanely in accordance with the economic and social conditions of the day.

2025 Minimum Wage Prediction from Artificial Intelligence

According to a report in Türkiye Gazetesi, artificial intelligence has also shared its prediction regarding the 2025 minimum wage. Responding to the question, "How much will the minimum wage be in 2025?", the artificial intelligence stated the following:

"Although how much the minimum wage will be for 2025 will be determined according to the inflation rate and economic conditions, it would be logical to think that the government will implement a raise that supports purchasing power in the face of high inflation."

The artificial intelligence noted that high inflation reduces purchasing power and predicted that the government would follow a wage policy to compensate for this situation.
