The Ministry stated that it has imposed administrative sanctions on companies found to be misleading consumers, particularly due to a lack of information regarding the price validity period and stock limits of products.

İbrahim Güllü, Deputy Chairman of the Consumer Confederation (TÜKONFED), made statements regarding the issue, pointing out that such complaints have increased with the widespread adoption of e-commerce.

Güllü stated that e-commerce companies failing to provide stock information for the products they offer for sale are victimizing consumers.

He emphasized that companies should not offer products that are not in stock for sale, and that if a product is no longer in stock, the system should automatically remove it from sale.

Furthermore, Güllü reminded consumers that if they encounter such situations, they can file a complaint with the Ministry of Trade's Advertising Board and apply to the Consumer Arbitration Committee to recover their payments.

These warnings aim to prevent consumer grievances and ensure fairer trade in the e-commerce environment.
