The investigation continues into the murder of 8-year-old Narin Güran, who went missing on August 21 in the rural Tavşantepe neighborhood of the Bağlar district in Diyarbakır, and whose lifeless body was found on the 19th day of search efforts inside a sack in a stream bed, covered with stones and hidden by bushes.

In the investigation conducted by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, 12 people have been arrested, including Narin's uncle Salim Güran, in whose car DNA traces belonging to Narin were found; Nevzat Bahtiyar, who confessed to transporting the body; and Narin's mother, Yüksel Güran, and her brother, Enes Güran.

The bone and other bone fragments, believed to be Narin's shinbone, which were found in the same sack as her body when it was sent to the Istanbul Council of Forensic Medicine for autopsy as part of the investigation, have been brought back to Diyarbakır following the examination.

The bones were taken to the cemetery in the Tavşantepe neighborhood by a funeral vehicle belonging to the Metropolitan Municipality. At the cemetery, where strict security measures were in place, Narin's grave was opened, and the bones were interred next to the body. The opened grave was then closed again.
