According to the information obtained, the Turkish-flagged container ship KAPPA, which was sailing from Istanbul to İzmit, managed to stop just a few meters from the shore and the waterfront mansions.

Teams acted quickly due to the risk in the area. While teams from the General Directorate of Coastal Safety were dispatched to the scene, it was learned that the "Kurtarma-5" tugboat is accompanying the ship. It was reported that rescue operations are continuing intensively off the coast of Yeniköy.
