Citizens lynch man who stabbed a woman in Bağcılar

In the Güneşli neighborhood of Bağcılar district, a woman identified as Z.S. was stabbed today by a man identified as E.Y. Citizens who witnessed the incident lynched E.Y. Upon notification, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Medical teams provided initial intervention to the woman at the scene and transported her to the hospital. The suspect was removed from the scene by the police with difficulty.

Investigations revealed that E.Y. had a romantic relationship with the woman and that the suspect had committed the act because he was fired from the workplace where they both worked following an argument between them.

Efe Can Erçelik, who was among those who beat the suspect, said, "We were watching a movie at home. When we heard the noise, we went downstairs. The woman was lying here on the ground. When we saw the woman in that state, we couldn't stand it and beat the man.

Many of our friends also did what was necessary. The woman's condition was bad, the ground was covered in blood. Her condition was very bad, when I saw her like that, I lost my temper. I have a sister too, I thought, what if it were my mother? After all, we have a family too. I put myself in that woman's place," he said.
