The AKP government's "health transformation" projects, which began with city hospitals, are falling short of their goals due to appointment crises and shortages of equipment and doctors. While physicians and healthcare workers lack personal rights, citizens are experiencing great difficulties in accessing healthcare services.

REACTION TO MEMİŞOĞLU IS GROWING 

The performance of Kemal Memişoğlu, who replaced former Health Minister Fahrettin Koca, has become the target of criticism, especially following the newborn gang scandal. 

The fact that Memişoğlu's presentation at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) took place amidst chants for his resignation and his high-tension statements caused reactions to increase even further. AKP sources state that Memişoğlu's dismissal could be on the agenda in the first cabinet reshuffle.

CLAIMS OF INSTRUCTIONS FROM ERDOĞAN 

According to a report by Cumhuriyet, President Erdoğan instructed his staff to "do everything to fix the healthcare system." Sources within the AKP, while describing the healthcare system as their "showcase," pointed out that the problems being experienced are damaging the party's image.

The problems in healthcare services are not limited to hospitals. HEP-SEN demanded the establishment of a Turkish Nurses Union with a press statement held in front of the Ministry of Health. 

General President Yunus Şimşek emphasized that they will continue to fight for nurses' personal rights and professional standards, stating, "We will bring back the position of head nurse and initiate a base wage application."
