Cleaver attack on municipal staff

The incident occurred on April 21 at 10:50 AM. According to the information obtained, a person named Yusuf Doğan went to the Aybastı Municipality and asked some questions to Adem Demirkale, a municipal employee and the mayor's secretary.

After a while, Yusuf Doğan struck Demirkale twice on the head with the sharp side of a meat cleaver. During this time, Demirkale and other municipal employees managed to subdue the individual. Demirkale, who was injured in the head, was transported to a hospital in Fatsa by ambulance after receiving initial intervention at the scene.

The moment the incident took place was recorded by the municipality's security camera. The footage shows the individual named Yusuf Doğan entering the secretary's office and, after a short while, striking Demirkale twice on the head with the sharp side of a cleaver he pulled from his jacket pocket. The footage also captures the moments when the attacker was persuaded and the cleaver was taken from his hand with difficulty. Meanwhile, Yusuf Doğan, who was detained following the incident and referred to the courthouse after police processing, was arrested and sent to prison.
