Coast Guard conducts drug operation on luxury yachts
The Coast Guard Southern Aegean Group Command received a tip-off regarding the illegal smuggling of alcohol, weapons, and drugs into Turkey within its area of responsibility. Following the tip-off, operations were launched, resulting in the pursuit of two suspicious vessels.
An operation was carried out on the identified suspicious yachts.
During the operation, 310 bottles of unbanded illicit alcoholic beverages of various sizes were seized on one of the yachts...
On the other yacht, 4 grams of skunk, 1 pistol, 186 cartridges, and 3 magazines were seized.
It was announced that legal proceedings have been initiated against 10 suspects connected to the incident.
