Cold shower for Erdoğan and the AKP in polls! Citizens want early elections: İmamoğlu and Yavaş take a significant lead

The results of the "Turkey Agenda and Politics Research," conducted by Saros Araştırma between February 5-19 using the CATI (Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing) method with 9,782 people across 26 metropolitan cities and 146 districts, have been announced.

According to the survey results, the CHP reached the highest vote share in the general election poll, placing first. In presidential election scenarios, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu and Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş emerged ahead of President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

CITIZENS WANT EARLY ELECTIONS

According to the research, 69 percent of the public believes that early elections should be held before 2028.

While the rate of those opposing early elections remained at 27.8 percent, the rate of undecided voters was 3.2 percent.

CHP IS THE LEADING PARTY

If parliamentary elections were held this Sunday, the CHP would be the leading party with 31.3 percent, while the AKP would be in second place with 30.3 percent. It was observed that the DEM Party had 8.8 percent, the MHP 8.2 percent, and the IYI Party 6.8 percent of the vote.

BOTH YAVAŞ AND İMAMOĞLU SURPASSED HIM

In potential presidential elections, the CHP's likely candidates polled ahead of Erdoğan.

Mansur Yavaş, with 56.6 percent, and Ekrem İmamoğlu, with 54.4 percent, left Erdoğan behind.

'FİDAN' STANDS OUT AFTER ERDOĞAN

In the survey, when asked who they would like to see as the new AKP chairman after Erdoğan, 34.5 percent of citizens stated they wanted Hakan Fidan; his closest follower was Selçuk Bayraktar with 5.8 percent.

Bayraktar was followed by Bilal Erdoğan with 4.3 percent.

CITIZENS DISAPPROVE OF THE CABINET

The survey also asked about the most unsuccessful minister in the Cabinet, with 33.4 percent of respondents saying "all of them are unsuccessful."

Among the options where specific names were mentioned, Yusuf Tekin ranked first with 12.1 percent.
