Confession from Galatasaray: Signing Victor Osimhen was not very difficult

Ismael Garcia Gomez, assistant coach to Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk, made statements to the BBC. Gomez spoke about the yellow-reds' Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen.

Gomez said, "As everyone knows, the summer was a bit shaky for Osimhen. There were many rumors that he would not stay at Napoli. There were also claims regarding Saudi Arabia and Chelsea, but I don't know exactly what happened."

The Spanish coach also made statements regarding the process of Osimhen's transfer to Galatasaray. Gomez said the following:

"Before he transferred to Galatasaray, while returning from an away match, Okan Buruk spoke with Osimhen on the phone. The transfer took place in as short a time as two days. It was incredible for both the club and the fans to start the season with such a transfer."

"Galatasaray was a great option for him. We also saw that he was very eager to be a part of the Galatasaray family. That is why it was not very difficult to make the deal."

Osimhen, whom Galatasaray signed on a free loan from Napoli, has appeared in 7 matches so far in the yellow-red jersey. Osimhen has recorded a total of 4 goals and 4 assists.
