Construction accident in Malatya: Scaffolding collapsed, 2 workers lost their lives
In the Yeşilyurt district of Malatya, 2 workers lost their lives after construction scaffolding collapsed during renovations on an 11-story apartment building. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
The scaffolding, which had been set up for renovations on an 11-story apartment building on Alem Street in the Bostanbaşı neighborhood, collapsed for an as-yet-unknown reason while workers were on it.
Upon notification by bystanders, medical teams were dispatched to the scene.
Workers Mücahit Dülek (29) and Salih Celayir (30) lost their lives in the incident.
The bodies of the workers were transported to the Malatya Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for autopsies following investigations at the scene.
