Date and time set: Eylem Tok and her son Timur Cihantimur to appear in court

Oğuz Murat Aci, a father of one, lost his life in the accident caused by Eylem Tok's son, Timur Cihantimur, in Istanbul on March 1.

Eylem Tok fled Turkey with her son following the accident.

Action had been taken for Tok and his son, who fled first to Egypt and then to the USA.

CAPTURED IN THE US

A red notice had been issued for the capture and extradition of Tok and his son to Turkey.

Tok and his son were recently apprehended in the US.

Following the development, it was alleged that Tok and the Republic of Turkey were attempting to obtain fake passports to travel to Cuba.

"SHE SHOULD BE RELEASED"

Brendan Kelley, one of Eylem Tok's lawyers, had argued that Tok should be released.

Kelley claimed that under Turkish law, the alleged crime does not carry a penalty if committed by a parent, and therefore, her extradition under the US-Turkey treaty is not possible.

Kelley had stated, "She is being held in custody for a crime for which extradition is not even possible."

TIME SET

The first hearing for Tok and his son will be held today. According to NTV, Tok and his son will appear before the judge today. The hearing will take place at 18:00 (TRT).
