December 11 weather forecast: Watch out for the evening hours in Istanbul!

According to the latest assessments made by the General Directorate of Meteorology (MGM), the country is expected to be partly to very cloudy, with rain and showers forecast for the Marmara, Aegean, Western Mediterranean, northern and western parts of Central Anatolia, and the Western and Central Black Sea regions.

Precipitation is expected to be locally heavy in the south and east of the Marmara region, the North and Coastal Aegean, and the Western Black Sea.

Icing and frost are expected in the eastern parts of the country, along with mist and localized fog.

AIR TEMPERATURE AND WIND

Air temperatures are expected to decrease by 3 to 5 degrees in the western parts, with no significant changes elsewhere.

The wind is expected to blow generally from the south, and from the north along the Marmara and North Aegean coasts, at light to occasionally moderate strength.

HEAVY PRECIPITATION WARNING

As precipitation is expected to be locally heavy in the south and east of the Marmara region, the North and Coastal Aegean, and the Western Black Sea, warnings have been issued to be careful and take precautions against potential negative impacts.

MARMARA REGION

It is expected to be very cloudy, with intermittent showers and occasional thunderstorms throughout the region. Precipitation is expected to be locally heavy in the south and east of the region.
