Doctor who performed surgery on social media personality speaks out after her death: 'I have performed 30 thousand surgeries in 26 years'

Influencer Neşe Özkan, known for the Gelin Evi competition, had gone under the knife. However, Özkan passed away following the surgery.

As the grieving family prepares to file a lawsuit against the hospital and the doctor, the surgeon who performed the operation, Op. Dr. Murat Acar, spoke to Gizem Gündoğdu from Ekol TV.

Acar defended himself by saying, "I have performed 30,000 surgeries in 26 years and only lost 3 patients. That makes it 1 in 10,000." Hospital owner Halil Gündoğdu stated, "She may have taken too many weight-loss pills."

Op. Dr. Murat Acar stated that they are preparing to file a lawsuit against the family.

Stating that he has 26 years of experience and performs 150-200 surgeries a day, Acar said, "Do you know how many planes crash in this country in 26 years? At least 2 planes crash. So, this is a surgery with as little risk as a plane crashing."

Acar, who said he has been performing aesthetic operations for 26 years, also expressed that he is experienced because he has performed nearly 30,000 surgeries, noting that he completes surgeries in 4-5 hours that other doctors finish in 10 hours.

Acar responded to allegations that he did not perform the surgery as follows:

There is no other plastic surgeon here who could perform this surgery. I went into my surgery and finished it successfully. May God have mercy on her. I mean, if a person's time has come, you never know why it will happen.

Speaking about the interviews given by Neşe Özkan's husband, Op. Dr. Acar continued his words as follows:

He did a shoot before burying his wife. He should not use me or innocent people to boost his social media accounts. We have filed the necessary lawsuits. I am calling out to those influencers. You come to us and we perform your aesthetic surgeries, right? We tell you to do your advertising. When someone dies, why do you bury us then?

HOSPITAL OWNER: ALL NECESSARY EXAMINATIONS WERE PERFORMED

Hospital owner Halil Gündoğdu also made notable statements. Stating that Neşe Özkan applied to the hospital for breast lift, tummy tuck, and liposuction surgeries, Gündoğdu said, "When she applied to the hospital for surgery, all kinds of examinations were performed.

A document was also presented to us stating that her heart was sound and in place, and that even if she had experienced a heart problem in the past, she no longer had such a problem," he said.

"SHE MAY HAVE TAKEN TOO MANY WEIGHT-LOSS PILLS"

Stating that the surgeries cost around 150,000 TL, the hospital owner noted that Neşe Özkan made a bank transfer of 136,000 TL. Gündoğdu continued his words as follows:

Our hospital wanted to send Neşe Hanım to the Council of Forensic Medicine. Her family opposed this. They came here with the police and took the body. It was taken by our hospital's ambulance. It will also please us to reveal the cause of death.

What I am told is that it is most likely a fat embolism. We have also determined that it is seen in conjunction with some weight-loss pills. Perhaps these pills were taken and we were not told about it.
