Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople paid a series of visits in Nevşehir: Met with the Governor and Mayor

Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, who arrived in Nevşehir, first visited the Nevşehir Governorship. Welcomed at the governor's office building by Nevşehir Governor Hüseyin Aksoy, Bartholomew then held a meeting in the office for some time. Various topics were discussed during the visit, which was held behind closed doors.

Following the visit to the governorship, Bartholomew and his accompanying delegation moved on to the Nevşehir Municipality, where they were welcomed at the entrance of the municipal building by Mayor Rasim Arı. Meeting with Mayor Arı in his office, Bartholomew chatted for a while.

During the visit, Bartholomew held and affectionately greeted 10-month-old baby Ecem, the child of Gülsüm Cantekin, who works as a foreign language guide at the Nevşehir Municipality. During the visit, which featured warm moments, gifts were exchanged.

Bartholomew stated that he would attend the Sunday service at the Aya Todori Church in the Derinkuyu district tomorrow morning, and the evening service to be held at the Church of the Virgin Mary in the evening. The visits concluded after a commemorative photograph was taken.
