Last season, 16 football clubs in Europe managed to exceed a total of 1 million spectators. Bundesliga representative Borussia Dortmund topped the list by reaching the highest average number of spectators per match.
UEFA has released its spectator report for the past season in European football. According to the BBC, Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund had the highest average in league matches with 81 thousand 305 spectators per game.
It was noted that Manchester United, which recorded its worst performance in history last season in the Premier League, was the team with the highest total home attendance in Europe, with 1 million 397 thousand 148 spectators in league matches.
Borussia Dortmund tops the list when including attendance across all competitions, while a total of 16 teams surpassed the 1 million spectator threshold in home matches.
