Father-in-law shoots son-in-law who was in the process of divorcing his daughter
In the Kocasinan district of Kayseri, a father-in-law allegedly shot and wounded his son-in-law, who was in the process of divorcing his daughter, and another person accompanying him during an argument. The father-in-law, who was wounded by a knife during the fight, was taken into custody following his medical treatment.
According to the information obtained, an incident occurred in the parking lot of a building located on Karpuzatan Street in the Oruçreis neighborhood, where an argument broke out between a father-in-law, D.K., and his son-in-law, E.D. (37), who was allegedly in the process of divorcing D.K.'s daughter.
As the argument escalated into a fight, D.K. shot and wounded his son-in-law E.D. and M.K. (24), who was with him, using a handgun.
During the fight, D.K. was also wounded in the leg with a knife. D.K. was taken to Kayseri State Hospital by his relatives, while E.D. and M.K. were taken to Kayseri City Hospital.
Upon notification, numerous police teams were dispatched to the scene and the hospitals.
Police teams took security measures at the scene and in the surrounding area and conducted an investigation.
It was learned that E.D. and M.K., who were wounded by gunfire, are in critical condition, while D.K., who was wounded by a knife, was discharged after treatment and taken into custody.
An investigation into the incident has been initiated.
