Fatih Altaylı's 'new face' comment on Meral Akşener: 'She had worn out the old one too much'
Journalist Fatih Altaylı commented on the meeting between former İYİ Party Chair Meral Akşener and President and AKP Chair Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Altaylı stated, "It seems that Meral Akşener has started her new life with a new face. She is not entirely wrong, either. She had worn out the old one too much. But she has also quite worn out the new one right from the start."
Journalist Fatih Altaylı commented on the surprise meeting between President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and former İYİ Party leader Meral Akşener.
Altaylı wrote, "To tell you the truth, I did not attach much importance to this meeting. It is a meeting between a President who is also the leader of a party that is now tumbling downwards and is in the final term of his presidency, and a former chairman who has brought his party to the point of collapse due to consecutive and likely intentional political mistakes, and whose own political life is also over."
Noting that the most attention-grabbing topic during the meeting was Akşener's hair and that she had undergone an aesthetic procedure, Altaylı said, "It seems that Meral Akşener has started her new life with a new face. She is not entirely wrong to do so. She had worn out the old one quite a bit. But she has already worn out the new one quite a bit from the very beginning as well."
