Fenerbahçe: Potential Europa League opponents after Anderlecht

Fenerbahçe managed to eliminate Belgian league side Anderlecht in the Europa League play-off match to reach the Round of 16.

Fenerbahçe had won the first leg of the tie 3-0 at home.

In the second leg, Fenerbahçe took a 1-0 lead in the opening minutes of the match with a goal from En-Nesyri. The match was then forced into a 15-minute break due to incidents in the stands. Once security was restored in the stands, both teams returned to the pitch. Although Anderlecht took a 2-1 lead with their goals, the match ended in a 2-2 draw following a goal by Yusuf Akçiçek. With this result, the yellow-navy team advanced to the next round.

Following the draw for the Europa League Round of 16, Fenerbahçe will face either the Scottish side Glasgow Rangers or the Greek side Olympiacos.

Fenerbahçe's potential quarter-final opponents—should they pass the Round of 16—are already known. On the other side of the bracket, Roma will face either Athletic Bilbao or Lazio. Roma's opponent will be determined by the draw.
