Fire extinguished, fight begins

The fire broke out on the roof of an apartment building located on Saatçi Hoca Street in the Emek neighborhood. Upon notification by citizens who noticed the fire, Nevşehir Municipality Fire Department crews, as well as health and police teams, were dispatched to the scene.

Fire crews brought the fire under control in a short time and carried out extinguishing work. After the fire was put out, an argument broke out between the business owner and the tenant who arrived at the scene. When relatives of the parties also became involved in the incident verbally, police teams intervened.

Shop owner Kemal Yurtbeğendi stated in his explanation, "We warned our tenant, the baker, many times. 

Although we told him that soot was coming out of the chimney, he did not take it into account. We also reported it to the municipal police teams many times. 

Our tenant did not listen, and today a fire broke out in the attic. Thank God no one was hurt. The fire started from the bakery's chimney," he said.

An investigation into the fire has been initiated.
